Mehdi Hmili’s Streams was shortlisted for the official competition of the International French Film Festival in Namur (French: FIFF), Belgium, and the Mediterranean Film Festival – Mostra de Valencia, Spain, which hold their 36th edition this year.
Streams is among ten feature films in the official FIFF competition scheduled for October 1-8 in Wallonia. The Mediterranean Film Festival – Mostra de Valencia, Spain, will take place from October 15 to 24.
Streams, a feature-length drama (122′) written and directed by Mehdi Hmili, is a production of Yol Film House with MAD Solutions for distribution.
This international co-production involves Tunisia, France and Luxembourg. It has the support of three co-producers, namely Tarantula Luxembourg, MPM Film and Clandestino Production.
This is Hmili’s second feature film. It focuses on issues in relation to the most disadvantaged people in a country plagued by corruption against the backdrop of a turbulent political context.
