Members of Access to Information Authority elected

Members of the Access to Information Authority were elected Tuesday at a House of People’s Representatives (HPR) plenary session.

The authority is representative of administrative justice and the administrative order.

It also includes a member of the National Statistical Council, a professor of information technology, an administrative documents and archives specialist, a lawyer, a journalist, a representative of the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data and a representative of civil society organisations operating in this field.

MPs elected administrative judge Imed Hazgui (149 votes), judicial judge Adnene Lassoued (125 votes), member of the National Statistical Council Mouna Dahhene (132 votes), university teacher Mohamed Boubaker Ksontini (single candidate/127 votes) and specialist in administrative documents Rim Abidi (136 votes).

Roukaya Khammassi (lawyer) was also elected (112 votes) along with journalist Rafik Ben Abdallah (110 votes), representative of the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data Khaled Sallami (120 votes) and representative of civil society organisations active in the field of access to information Hajer Trabelsi (120 votes).

– Imed Hazgui: administrative judge (President)

– AdnAne Lassoued: judicial judge (Vice-President)

– Mouna Dahhene: member of the National Statistical Council (Member)

– Mohamed Boubaker Ksontini: university teacher of IT (Member)

– Roukaya Khammassi: lawyer (Member)

– Rafik Ben Abdallah: journalist (Member)

– Khaled Sallami: representative of the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (Member)

– Hajer Trabelsi: representative of civil society organisations active in the field of access to information (Member)

– Rim Abidi: specialist in administrative documents and archives (Member).
