Military plane crash in Algeria: Ennaceur sends two cables of condolences

Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Mohamed Ennaceur, on Wednesday, sent a message of condolence to President of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria Said Bouhadja following the crash of a military plane at Boufarik airport, near Algiers.

In this message, Ennaceur said he was saddened by this “terrible tragedy” which caused a large number of victims.

In addition, Ennaceur sent a message of condolences, in his own name and on behalf of members of the HPR, to the Algerian President of the Algerian National Council (Senate) Abdelkader Bensalah in which he expressed “his deep emotion and compassion” for the families of the victims, according to a statement from the Parliament.

An Algerian military transport plane crashed on Wednesday at Boufarik airport (Blida), near Algiers.

At least 257 people died in the disaster, according to the Algerian news agency.
