President Kais Saied ordered a military plane to be sent to Germany to bring 25 medical ventilators to Tunisia, the Presidency said in a statement, adding this is part of his permanent monitoring of the health situation related to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Presidency of the Republic said it has stepped up efforts with other countries to provide the necessary medical equipment to several hospitals in Tunisia to help them cope with the pandemic.
As part of implementing the outcome of the Head of State’s visit to Rome last June, the Health Ministry and the Italian authorities are coordinating to transport medical equipment to Tunisia, the statement added.
