“The Kingdom has ensured over the past twenty years to rehabilitate the original teaching on many aspects, including legal framework, through increasing the number of institutions which now stands at nearly 14. This rehabilitation project has also involved the integration of modern mechanisms of management and material support to educational institutions,” said Toufiq during this event, organized by Dar El Hadith El Hassania in partnership with the Institute For Epistemological Studies-Europe (IESE).
This rehabilitation has also included the generalization of scholarships to students, support for the supervision and training for the benefit of educational leaders and the building of model institutions under the Ministry of Education, Toufiq noted, during this meeting which took place in the presence of the Khalifa General of the Tariqa Tijaniyya in Nigeria, Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the director of Dar El Hadith El Hassania, Ahmed Khamlichi and IESE director, Beddy El Morabiti, as well as Moroccan and foreign scholars and professors.
The rehabilitation has also focused on consolidating the foundations of the educational system, the development of guidance documents for educational reform, the establishment of a system of educational control and evaluation, improving the quality of learning and openness to the immediate environment, the encouragement of excellence and research and the integration of education values in the system of original education, he added.
In addition, he underlined that this reform has led to the restructuring of the educational system which now involves about 80% of institutions (about 300 institutions with about 40,000 students), which share the unity of programs, the introduction of scientific subjects in addition to legal sciences, and the unity of cycles and evaluations.
Among the advantages offered by this system, the minister mentioned the learning of the Koran, the mastery of legal sciences, and the obtaining of the equivalence of diplomas, with what this implies in terms of employment opportunities.
