Minister of Women, Family, Children and Elderly Affairs Amel Belhaj Moussa, on Wednesday, announced the creation of a national children’s emergency shelter and 5 similar local facilities.

The Minister was speaking at a meeting with the delegate general for child protection and the association of child protection delegates.

She commended the important role of these delegates in protecting children from economic and sexual exploitation, the Department said in a statement.

The child protection delegates, for their part, talked about their concerns and the difficulties they face in their duty.
