Minister of Women, Family and Elderly Affairs Amel Belhaj Moussa, on Wednesday, stressed the imperative to provide elderly people with the necessary protection.

Speaking during a visit to the protection centre for the elderly in Manouba, she emphasised the imperative to preserve the dignity of these people.

She called on those in charge of this institution to increase efforts to protect the elderly, whose number is around 86.

The Minister also underlined the need to reveal any shortcomings and obstacles encountered in order to overcome them and ensure better conditions.
