The Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Communication Technologies signed a cooperation agreement to complete the second phase of the public key infrastructure (PKI) of the Defence Department.
National Defence Minister Imed Memmich and Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Ben Neji put pen to paper on Wednesday in Tunis, in the presence of delegations from both departments.
This project is part of the national strategic plan of information technology and communication “Tunisia Digital 2020”, Memmich said. It aims to develop the administration through digital technology, to ensure efficiency, transparency and assistance in decision-making, he was quoted as saying in a Ministry statement.
He welcomed the cooperation between the Ministries of National Defence and Communication Technologies, adding this agreement represents a model of joint action. “We aspire to achieve the strategic objectives set by the ministry in the field of developments related to communication technologies”, he said.
