The Ministry of Interior recalled in a statement Saturday the decision to ban gatherings in open and closed spaces to guard against COVID-19.

This reminder comes as of civil society, on Saturday afternoon, organised a rally at Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis, on the commemoration of the 9th anniversary of the assassination of martyr Chokri Belaid.

Another rally was also held in front of the headquarters of the Supreme Judicial Council (CSM) to demand its dissolution.

The Department of the Interior invites citizens to respect the COVID-19-related measures decided by the Cabinet meeting of January 11.

The application of these measures has been extended by two weeks to preserve public health, said the same source.
