Monastir governorate saw 15 more fatalities of the coronavirus during the last 48 hours, while another 188 people tested positive for the virus.
This brings the overall number of coronavirus infections in the region to 33,895 cases, including 26,486 recoveries, 6,681 active cases and 728 fatalities, according to the latest statistics published Wednesday by the Local Health Directorate.
There are currently 220 patients admitted to hospitals in the region, according to the same source.
