Moroccan Sahara: Spain’s Position Opens New Perspectives with Europe (Naïla Tazi)

This common-sense position strengthens relations between our two countries and opens new perspectives with Spain and Europe to focus on the real challenges, those of development and the welfare of citizens,” she told MAP.

“After the United States, Spain has recalled the importance of the Sahara issue for Morocco and it is committed to acting with the absolute transparency worthy of a great friend and ally,” Tazi added.

“This is a major position shift from a European partner on the Sahara issue, similar to that of Germany,” she went on.

Thanks to the vision of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has embarked on the path of success, one of democracy, advanced regionalization, inclusive sustainable development, and the emergence of Africa, Tazi underlined.

According to the MP, the great achievements made by the Kingdom offer a new impetus to cooperation between Africa and Europe.

“Morocco is a major player in Africa, our African policy is based on a proactive, serious, constructive, and realistic approach to cooperation,” she said.

“Our country is, therefore, a major partner with which friendly countries in Europe and around the world must strengthen dialogue and mutual respect to achieve co-construction,” Tazi concluded.
