Speaking during a joint session of the two Houses of Parliament, Macron expressed his commitment to forging a new chapter in the longstanding relationship between the two nations. According to Ghana News Agency, President Macron highlighted the historical ties and shared values between Morocco and France, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and cooperation. He noted the pivotal role of Morocco's Monarch, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in fostering a tolerant and progressive society that challenges extremism and promotes dialogue. Macron reflected on the rich history of Morocco, one of the oldest monarchies in the world, and its ongoing journey towards industrial and technological modernity. He underscored the unique friendship between the two countries and the potential for addressing future challenges together. The French President outlin ed various areas of collaboration, including security, anti-trafficking efforts, economic development, education, and investment. Macron also emphasized the promising sectors for future cooperation, such as high-speed rail development and cultural industries, as key elements for the growth and employability of youth in both nations. Macron praised Morocco's advancements in water management and adaptation, expressing France's readiness to support Morocco's initiatives in these areas. He reiterated France's stance on the Moroccan Sahara issue, affirming that Moroccan sovereignty is the framework for resolving the matter, and endorsed the 2007 autonomy plan as the basis for a political solution. The French Head of State also highlighted the strategic partnership between Morocco and France in Africa, recognizing Morocco's stability and development as assets for joint initiatives on the continent.
