Morocco Records 3,051 New COVID-19 Cases over Past 24 Hours

A total of 24,667,031 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 23,090,787 the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin, noting that 4,578,367 people have received the third dose of the vaccine.

According to the same source, the number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus rises to 1,138,847 while recoveries increase to 1,087,706 i.e. a recovery rate of 95%.

The new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (578), Casablanca-Settat (568), Fez-Meknes (384), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (348), the Oriental (339), Marrakech-Safi (227), Souss-Massa (214), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (141), Draa-Tafilalet (83), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (73), Guelmim-Oued Noun (52) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (44).

As for coronavirus-related fatalities, they rose to 15,464 (fatality rate of 1.4%), with 29 new deaths reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (7), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (4), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (4), Fez-Meknes (2), the Oriental (3), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (2), Guelmim-Oued Noun (2), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (2), Souss-Massa (1), Marrakech-Safi (1) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1).

The number of active cases has reached 35,677, including 712 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
