Martil: Host nation Morocco has claimed victory in the 2025 Africa Seniors Beach Volleyball Championships, which concluded on Sunday in Martil, Morocco. Both the male and female teams of Morocco emerged as champions and are now set to represent the continent at the upcoming volleyball World Cup in Australia, scheduled for November 2025.
According to Ghana News Agency, the men’s competition featured two Moroccan teams in the finals, with Team A securing a 2-1 victory over Team B. The formidable duo of Al-Grooti and Saber overcame the experienced pair of Elias and Al-Gharawi in a closely contested match. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Moroccan beach volleyball history, celebrated by fans and dignitaries alike.
In the women’s category, the Moroccan national team achieved victory by defeating Mozambique’s national team in straight sets. This win secured Morocco’s dominance in both the men’s and women’s categories at the African Beach Volleyball Championship. The championship also served as the qualifying event for the Beach Volleyball World Cup in Australia, reinforcing Morocco’s position on the international stage.
