A memorandum of understanding on data exchange and technical cooperation in the field of statistics, was signed on October 26, 2021, between Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Marouane El Abassi and Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Saied, the BCT said Friday

The purpose of this framework agreement, signed at a meeting at the headquarters of the BCT between the two officials, is to record the general principles of the cooperation agreement to be signed later between the National Institute of Statistics and the Central Bank of Tunisia, to establish the best conditions for the exchange of data and strengthen the links of cooperation and harmonisation of efforts of both institutions in statistics.

During the meeting, El Abassi and Saied also discussed the prospects of the economic, monetary and financial situation and economic reforms during the next period, including the current and future status of relations with international financial institutions and donors.
