MPs condemn closure of al-Aqsa mosque

At the beginning of the plenary session held Monday by the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), the deputies condemned the closure by the Israeli army of the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of al-Quds on Friday, affirming the support of their respective parties to the Palestinian cause.

The closure of the al-Aqsa mosque, they unanimously emphasized, is an attack against the sacred places and the universal human values.

It is a crime against the right of the Palestinian people who were prevented for the first time since 1969 from accessing the mosque for Friday prayers, they said.

In another connection, HPR Speaker Mohamed Ennaceur announced that resigning deputy of the Nidaa Tounes group Issam Mattoussi joined the “Al-Horra” group.
