MTN Ghana Extends Support to Muslim Community in Tamale for Ramadan

Tamale: MTN Ghana, a telecommunications company, has presented food items and money to the Northern Regional Chief Imam and the Muslim Community in Tamale, as part of its support towards this year's Sallah (Eid-ul-Fitr) celebrations. The items included a ram, crates of soft drinks and water, cartons of tomato paste and cooking oil, bags of rice, as well as a cheque for GHc10,000.00.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Collins Agyei, the Area Sales Manager for the five Northern Regions, MTN Ghana, presented the items on behalf of the company. He stated that the gesture was to show support and appreciation to the Muslim community for their support for the MTN business and their role in national unity. Mr. Agyei emphasized that the Muslim community in the Northern Region plays a key role in MTN's businesses. He mentioned that the period of Ramadan provides MTN with the opportunity to thank the community for their sustained support and their efforts in promoting peace.

Mr. Agyei also encouraged customers to download the MTN Apps, especially the MoMo and MyMTN Apps, to make their transactions more efficient. He highlighted that the MyMTN App offers users the ability to manage their MTN services effectively.

Ustaz Abdulai Habibu Mohammed, the Secretary to the Northern Regional Chief Imam, received the items and expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for their consistent support. He noted that, on behalf of the Regional Chief Imam and the Muslim community, they are thankful to MTN for their continuous consideration over the past six years. Ustaz Mohammed acknowledged that the donation has become an annual event and will significantly aid those who might struggle to celebrate Sallah, providing them with a substantial boost from MTN Ghana.
