The Tunis office of the Kuwaiti organisation “Direct-Aid Society”, on Sunday, organised a multidisciplinary health caravan consisting of medical specialists from the Sousse University Hospital of Sahloul for the benefit of inhabitants of the Belkhir, governorate of Gafsa.
The medical team includes specialists in gynecology and obstetrics, orthopedics, dentistry, pediatrics, surgical oncology, internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, hypertension and family medicine, said Secretary-General of the Belkhir Organisation for Heritage Preservation.
She added that the specialists provided consultations at Belkhir Hospital for 500 beneficiaries in the region.
Screening campaigns for chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension and cancer, were also conducted.
The “Direct-Aid Society” offered medicines to patients who had medical check-ups, she added.
