Nineteen people died of the coronavirus in Nabeul during the last 48 hours, while 563 others tested positive for the virus, among 2,053 tested.

This brings the overall number of infections to 41,965, including 1,097 fatalities.

The people who have died of the disease are aged between 47 and 93 years, in Menzel Temime, Beni Khalled, Soliman and Grombalia, according to a report published Friday by the Local Health Directorate.

On the other hand, 728 patients have recovered from the infection in the governorate, taking recovery numbers to 34,068, against 6,814 active carriers of the virus.

There are currently 261 patients admitted to hospitals and clinics in the region, where the capacity of oxygen supported beds reached its limit, while intensive care beds reached 80% of their capacity.
