The Medina of Yasmine Hammamet will host the first Medical Tourism Conference , from March 11 to 13. It will be attended by experts and professionals in the field from Tunisia, Europe, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. American professional will also take part in the event virtually.

The conference seeks to promote the tourism sector and create a new momentum which focuses on medical tourism, generate new jobs, boost investment and bring foreign currency to the country, Director General of the private company in charge of organising the conference Lotfi Khelifi told TAP.

The conference will also be the ideal setting to launch the First Week of Medical Tourism in Cap Bon. It will be a permanent annual meeting to boost the tourism sector, the same source added.
