Nador 2 Local Prison Denies Harassment of Inmate for his Refusal to Be Vaccinated (Clarification)

In a clarification, the management of the prison stressed that what was published about alleged harassment of the defendant (J.A) for his refusal to be vaccinated against Covid-19 “is unfounded”.

The individual refused to be vaccinated and was transferred from a group cell of inmates who had already received doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 to an individual cell, a preventive measure used throughout the prison system, the clarification said.

Contrary to what has been conveyed, the prisoner has not been subject to any disciplinary measure, added the same source, specifying that the said inmate, who has never declared to have started a hunger strike, takes his meals regularly and that the management of the institution does not require any prisoner to be vaccinated.

What has been published is nothing but an attempt to cast doubt on the great success of the current operation of vaccination of prisoners against Covid-19 in prisons, which has reached over 96%, concluded the clarification.
