NaSIA to Distribute Educational Resources to Private Senior High Schools Nationwide

Accra: The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) is poised to commence the distribution of teaching and learning resources to all licensed private senior high schools across the nation. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the quality of education in private institutions.

According to Ghana News Agency, the resources, which were received from ‘Transforming Teaching, Education and Learning (T-TEL)’, will support NaSIA’s mission to ensure that private schools are well-equipped to provide education that meets national standards. Professor Azeko Salifu Tahiru, the Inspector-General of Schools, highlighted the Authority’s dedication to improving classroom instruction and professional development for teachers, thereby fostering better learning outcomes for students.

The distribution will be conducted nationwide, with NaSIA advising all licensed private senior high schools to coordinate with the Authority’s regional offices for detailed information on collection and delivery processes
. The collaboration with T-TEL and other partners has been acknowledged by NaSIA as crucial in supporting teaching and learning in private institutions.

Earlier this year, the Authority announced a STEM training program for private school teachers aimed at enhancing the teaching and learning of science through practical and innovative methods, such as Science Sets. The registration for this training concluded on August 24, 2025, and private institutions were encouraged to participate.

BSTEM, a project led by the Ghana Education Service in partnership with Itec Global, aims to improve science and mathematics education at the basic level by providing classrooms with modern tools for active learning. The initiative was piloted in 2024, furnishing 100 Junior High Schools with necessary equipment to enable teachers to utilize hands-on, problem-solving, and experiential learning techniques.
