The National Guard Units of the Southern, Central, Northern and Sahel Districts foiled over the weekend 47 attempts to illegally cross the sea border and rescued 648 irregular migrants.

The spokesman for the National Guard said in a statement Sunday they were all nationals of African states. They were rescued by the National Guard after their boats broke down.
