Nationwide nightly curfew to end as of Sep. 25 at midnight [Upd 1]

The nationwide nightly COVID-19 curfew will end as of September 25 at midnight, upon a decision made by President Kais Saied after reviewing the opinion of the Health Ministry and the Coronavirus operation rooms, the Presidency of the Republic said on Friday.

According to the same statement, fully vaccinated people against COVID-19 will be allowed to attend or participate in public and private events, activities and gatherings in open and closed spaces. They must present proof of this.

The capacity of reception in closed and open spaces has been set at 50% with the need to respect physical distance of at least one meter, in addition to the application of the sectoral health protocols in force.

Mask wearing is mandatory in public spaces and transportation for all persons over six years.

People coming from abroad to participate in events, activities and gatherings in Tunisia must be fully vaccinated.

The Presidency said in the same statement the civilian and military health authorities are called to intensify and accelerate vaccination campaigns and rapid tests.

It stressed that the local and regional authorities concerned would ensure continuous control and monitoring of all sectors and will take the necessary legal measures to enforce the health protocols and measures
