New Generation of Entrepreneurs, a programme to foster entrepreneurship

Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Sayda Lounissi said, on Thursday, the national entrepreneurship strategy includes a programem called “New Generation of Entrepreneurs”.

This programme is part of the implementation of policies and programmes of public structures and the promotion of development in regions.

On the sidelines of the “RIYEDA” fair that started Wednesday in Tunis, Lounissi emphasised that this programme aims to help young entrepreneurs start their own projects and obtain credit more easily.

It also allows providing support throughout the different phases of the project, she noted, adding this programme targets young people registered in employment offices.

She indicated that the financing amounts to 150 thousand dinars for each project, noting that the credit will be repaid over 7 years.

She also said that her department is currently working on the development of a law that allows entrepreneurs to benefit from a series of tax benefits and social security.

The “RIYEDA” fair, organised by the Tunisia Market Place (French: TPM) Company aims to popularize the entrepreneurial spirit among young people and identify bearers of project ideas in order to put them in direct contact with public and private financial operators.

It is organised in association with the Tunisian Solidarity Bank, the Bank of Financing of Small and Medium enterprises, the Banque Nationale Agricole, the Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie and Central University, Tunisia.
