The Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (French: UTAP) executive bureau urged the government on Friday to give the highest priority to the sector considering its strategic role in achieving food sovereignty and boosting regional development, investment, employment and exportation.
Najla Bouden’s cabinet needs to adopt a participatory approach, the executive bureau said in a press release following a two-day meeting. The organisation is willing to cooperate in a bid to rescue the sector.

International Exhibition of Agriculture, Agricultural Machinery and Fisheries (SIAMAP-2021). took centre stage.
