A new production unit of Bontaz Tunisia, a French company established in the country since 2007 and specialising in the manufacture of automotive components, was inaugurated Tuesday in the industrial zone of El Mghira, governorate of Ben Arous.

The new industrial unit has been developed on an area of 6500 m2 with a budget of 20 million euros and has created 800 jobs, according to data provided on thes occasion.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the Regional Union of Commerce and Industry, the French ambassador to Tunisia and the Italian consul and regional authorities led by the first delegate and acting governor.

French Ambassador André Parant said this project will consolidate the production capacity of Bontaz Tunisia.

He reaffirmed that Tunisia remains an attractive site for foreign investment.
