The coast guard rescued on Saturday morning 9 undocumented migrants of Tunisian nationality, aged between 17 and 41.

They were on board a boat that broke down off El Haouria, Governorate of Nabeul.

The individuals admitted to having sailed on Friday night off Bizerte with the intention of crossing the maritime borders to Europe illegally, a statement of the Ministry of National Defence said.
