North tongu: Madam Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu, has embarked on a working visit to district offices to address development-related issues affecting the area. The DCE announced that work on the Juapong-Podoe-Abuatia-Ho Road is expected to commence next week, following commitments made by the contractor to mobilise to the site.
According to Ghana News Agency, during her engagement with the Volta Regional Police Command, Madam Doe highlighted the logistical challenges facing the Aveyime-Battor, Juapong, and Mepe police divisions. She noted the need for vehicles, motorbikes, and other resources to enhance security and patrol operations in the district.
Madam Doe also held discussions with the Department of Urban Roads and the Ghana Highways Authority. She received assurances that both trunk and internal roads within the district would soon undergo improvements, addressing key infrastructure needs.
In her development agenda, the DCE further emphasised the importance of employment creation. She noted that opportunities would be pursued alongside infrastructure upgrades to boost livelihoods for residents within the district.
Madam Doe urged residents to support the Assembly’s programmes and collaborate with the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in advancing the district’s development agenda.
