Noureddine Kharroubi, icon of culture in Tunisia passes away

The Ministry of Culture expressed its deep sorrow at the death of Noureddine Kharroubi, an icon of Tunisian culture, who passed away on Tuesday August 8. A music teacher and an outstanding cellist, Kharroubi was an active cultural figure, particularly in the suburbs of Tunis, where he founded the Hammam Lif Music Academy. He was also one of the founders of the Boukornine Festival and the Medina Festival. Noureddine Kharroubi was at the origin of the creation of several events and competitions to discover young Tunisian and North African talents.
