Nwawasua Basic School Appeals for Essential Facilities

Sunyani: Mr. Abraham Kaabawi, the headmaster of Nwawasua Municipal Assembly Basic School, has made an urgent appeal for toilet facilities for the school children. The issue arises as the community has repurposed the school's only toilet facility, initially built by a fun club, for public use, leaving both students and teachers without a dedicated place of convenience.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kaabawi highlighted the challenges faced by teachers who struggle to find suitable washrooms. He further emphasized the need for additional desks, as many students are currently forced to sit on the bare floor during lessons. This lack of basic amenities is affecting the overall learning environment at the school.

Mr. Kaabawi also noted that a construction project for a Kindergarten block, initiated by former Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Mr. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has been left incomplete for several months. He is calling on the government, corporate and religious organizations, NGOs, and philanthropists to assist in addressing these pressing needs to improve the learning conditions for the students.
