Over 3,000 COVID-19 vaccines administered since launch of campaign launched by Army in Tataouine

(TAP) – The COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the governorate of Tataouine carried out since Friday by the General Directorate of Military Health, in cooperation with the Local Public Health Directorate continued, Saturday, in the delegations of North Tataouine and South Tataouine. Over 3,000 doses have been administered in these two days.

 

Speaking to TAP, General Coordinator of the Campaign Ali Mrabet said vaccination points have been installed in these delegations to immunize all people over 50 or those suffering from chronic illnesses.

 

The vaccination process took place under good logistical conditions and will continue over the next few days, he added.

 

Other teams have been dispatched to a number of rural areas and villages throughout the governorate so as to vaccinate old people or those who are not able to go to vaccination centers.

 

Tataouine has reported 304 deaths and 8,228 infections since the spread of the pandemic in the region, reads the latest statistics provided by the Local Health Directorate.
