Tunis: Over 6,000 candidates for the General Middle School Diploma exam have been successfully assigned to pilot high schools across the nation. The Ministry of Education had previously announced that the reception capacity for these schools is set at 3,750 for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, data released on Thursday highlights that out of 32,035 candidates registered for the General Middle School Diploma exam, 25,301 were present for the examination. Of those, 16,182 candidates passed, resulting in a pass rate of 63.96%. Subsequently, 6,063 of these successful candidates were assigned to the pilot high schools. In a remarkable achievement, Student Tasnim Cherif from the Hay El Manara Pilot Middle School in South Gabes topped the national rankings with an impressive average of 19.21 out of 20. Regarding the Technical Middle School Diploma exam, the success rate was recorded at 68.29%. Of the 203 registered candidates, 164 attended the exam, with 112 achieving passin g marks. Alaa Mansouri, a student from the Rades Technical Middle School, led the national results with an average score of 14.52 out of 20.
