Oxygen concentrators granted by Italian Agency for Cooperation made available for public facilities

A working session brought together Tuesday Health Minister Ali Mrabet, Italian Ambassador in Tunis Lorenzo Fanara and Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS)- Tunis Regional Office Andrea Senatori.

President of the Tunisian Red Crescent Abdellatif Chabbou and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Head of the North Africa Country Cluster Anne Elisabeth Leclerc were also present.

Oxygen concentrators were handed, during this meeting, to the Tunisian Red Crescent by the Italian Agency for International Cooperation and the IFRC. The equipment will be made available to public health facilities.

The meeting, which focused on the furtherance of projects funded by Italy, was an opportunity for the Health Minister to praise the Italian Agency for International Cooperation for underpining the ministry’s efforts. He also emphasised the importance of strategic cooperation and partnership with Italy.

The Italian ambassador said his country is willing to provide continuous support to Tunisia.

The President of the Tunisian Red Crescent said the organisation will remain an active partner of the Health Ministry which supports its efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
