Accra: Mr. William Adama Mensah, the Headmaster of Edlys Montessori School at North Legon, urged parents to continue investing in their children's education as a means to secure their future. He expressed his appreciation for the crucial support parents have provided to pupils and the school over the years.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Mensah made these remarks during the Graduation and Speech and Prize Giving Day of the school. The event was held under the theme, 'Breaking down learning barriers to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.' The ceremony saw the graduation of pupils and students from Kindergarten up to Junior High School.
The event also marked the launch of the school's 20th anniversary celebrations, which will culminate in a grand event a year from now. Mr. Mensah reassured attendees that the school is committed to the ongoing professional development of its staff to ensure they stay updated with new trends and methodologies in line with the current national curriculum.
He expressed gratitude towards parents for their role in shaping the students' minds through their support and partnership. Mr. Mensah also emphasized the school's dedication to guiding students in discovering their hidden talents in arts, music, and other creative fields beyond academic work.
Mrs. Veronica Alorm Amissah-Video, a parent and legal practitioner with the Environmental Protection Authority, launched the anniversary celebrations. She praised the students for their dedication to acquiring knowledge and commended the school for its unwavering commitment to education.
Exceptional students were recognized for their academic achievements with various awards during the ceremony.
