Paris 2024 Olympic Games: France’s embassy in Tunis, CNOT celebrate D-500

France’s embassy in Tunisia jointly celebrated with the National Olympic Committee of Tunisia (CNOT) the D-500 of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The French René Descartes high school, the whole network of French schools in Tunisia and the Pierre-de-Coubertin sports high school in El Menzah have displayed on Tuesday the colours of the Paris 2024 and Olympism to mark the joint mobilisation of French nationals in Tunisia and Tunisians on the occasion of the “Relay around the world,” held on March 14, 500 days before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The event also recoded the participation of the Tunisian Swimming Federation (FTN) through its young talents and the presence of two-time Olympic champion Oussema Mellouli.
“For 24 hours, more than 120 French embassies and consulates worldwide will take turns to organise sporting events in conjunction with the French community, athletes and representatives of local sports movements. The aim of the event, in keeping with the Paris 2024 motto «Games Wide Open,» is to bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to as many people as possible, including beyond our borders,” France Diplomacy said.
