Rabat – The “South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum” of Senates and equivalent councils of Africa, the Arab world, Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the House of Advisors, kicked off Friday in Rabat.
Organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this Forum will be marked by the presence of representatives of senates from more than 31 countries of the three geopolitical groups.
This event is intended as a parliamentary mechanism and a space for advocacy and exploration of new areas of multidimensional cooperation, according to a logic of a strategic partnership and solidarity based on proximity and efficient and effective participatory action.
Participants in this Forum will address several issues including “The role of Senates, Shoora Councils and equivalent Councils in promoting South-South cooperation”, “Trade and economic exchanges between Africa and the Arab world, Latin America and the Caribbean: reality and prospects”, and “Climate and health equity: What role do the Senates of the South play?”.
