Partnership agreement inked between TABC and ITFC

The Tunisian-African Business Council (TABC) inked on Tuesday a partnership agreement with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB)’s International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC).

This agreement, inked on the fringes of the Financing Investment and Trade in Africa Forum FITA 2018 will help members of the council and all Tunisian investors to have access to funding exports, investments and foreign trade.

This funding will help provide Tunisia with foreign currencies and to contribute to achieving the country’s financial balances, TABC Vice-President Anis Jaziri told TAP

The agreement was signed by TABC President Bassem Loukil and ITFC Chief Executive Officer Hani Sonbol.

Tunisia seeks through this two-day forum that brought together some 500 African officials, to access this promising $2 billion market and to mobilise funding of about 200 billion dinars so as to finance intra-African trade and investment thus helping Tunisian investors and exporters to present and mobilise investments for their projects and programmes.

The main goal is to improve the level of Tunisian trade exchanges with African countries that must reach 10% out of the country’s overall trade exchanges by 2020.
