“Pegas Touristik” to launch flights for 2018 tourist season on April 27 at “Habib Bourguiba” Monastir airport

– Russian tour operator “Pegas Touristik” said in a statement Thursday it will inaugurate its flights for the 2018 tourist season on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Monastir Habib Bourguiba airport.

Three flights are scheduled on the first day from Moscow, Arkhangelsk and Kaliningrad carrying a total of 690 tourists.

The flight schedule will run from 27 April to 28 October 2018 and will be operated by 503 flights one to three times a day from 21 cities in Russia and Ukraine.

The estimated number of tourists on these flights exceeds 140,000.

This season’s programme at Jerba-Zarzis airport will be provided by 231 flights with one to three flights a day, bringing a total of more than 76,000 tourists from 10 cities in Russia and Ukraine.

Erkan Gurakar, Managing Director of Pegas Touristik in Tunisia, said “we have always been convinced of the ability of the tourism sector to recover in Tunisia, thanks to its many strengths. And it is because of this strong conviction that we have continued after the cowardly attacks of 2015 to operate on Tunisia while almost all others were fleeing the destination.

That is why in 2016, the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism has elected us the best Russian TO in Tunisia.

He added that Tunisia has become a tourist destination increasingly appreciated by the Russians and we considered ourselves in Pegas Touristik, “a full partner in the promotion of this destination.

Our efforts in this direction allow us this year to achieve an increase in the number of tourists to Tunisia in the order of 31%, compared to last year”.

Every year, Pegas Touristik organises trips to Tunisia for many Russian and Ukrainian tour operators to help them discover the main tourist attractions of Tunisia and therefore better offer them to their customers. 455 tour operators will be invited this year.

Pegas Touristik is a Tour Operator established in 1994 in Moscow. It serves a large number of tourist destinations in the world including Tunisia since 2003, from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
