Pentecost Church in Sunyani Marks 75 Years with Anniversary Launch and Community Initiatives

Sunyani: The Church of Pentecost in the Sunyani Central District has officially launched its 75th-anniversary celebrations, emphasizing a renewed commitment to societal development and spiritual growth. The anniversary, themed "Celebrating the Faithfulness of God," will feature a variety of activities including prayer sessions, counseling, and a community clean-up exercise. According to Ghana News Agency, the launch event was marked by a sermon from Apostle James Gabriel Quardson, the Sunyani Area Head of the Church. He highlighted the importance of revisiting the church's history to inspire and educate the current generation about its foundational principles and achievements. Apostle Quardson pointed out that understanding the church's past is crucial for fostering a stronger future commitment among the youth. The anniversary's Central Planning Committee was also inaugurated during the event, tasked with overseeing the week-long celebration. Apostle Quardson detailed the church's significant contributions to the education and health sectors in the region, describing its role as a "key development partner" in national progress. He reiterated the church's dedication to not only spiritual upliftment but also to the holistic development of society. Pastor Stephen Dankyi Asante, the Sunyani Central District Pastor, outlined the activities planned for the anniversary. He encouraged all church members to actively participate in the upcoming events, which are designed to enhance community engagement and spiritual enrichment.
