A working meeting held Thursday between a delegation of the Independent High Elections Authority (ISIE) and representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs focused on issues related to the upcoming relations. The ISIE said in a statement the two sides discussed issues, including decrees 8 and 10 of March 8, 2023. The aim is to draw up a list of organisations and associations working with people with special needs, in order to draw on their experience in the awareness campaigns planned by the ISIE. The aim is to encourage people with disabilities to participate in elections and to present their candidacies to local councils. The meeting also discussed ways to define technical coordination mechanisms between the ISIE and the Ministry of Social Affairs in order to improve the management of the distribution of Tunisian voters with disabilities among the appropriate polling stations, in terms of proximity and ease of access. The meeting took place in the presence of Farouk Bouasker, President of the ISIE, and Raja Ben Ibrahim, Director-General in charge of the promotion of people with disability at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
