PM begins consultations on outlines of Cabinet reshuffle

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, on Wednesday, began consultations with political party leaders signatories of the Carthage Document on the outlines of the planned Cabinet reshuffle, an official source at the Prime Ministry told TAP.

According to the same source, the outlines and the nature of this reshuffle have not yet been fixed, as the consultations have just started.

Three ministries are vacant within the national unity government. They are the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Development, International Co-operation and Foreign Investment and the Ministry of Education.

The Prime Minister told reporters on Tuesday time has come to conduct a cabinet reshuffle, without giving more details about its nature and its limits.

Several political players have considered that a cabinet reshuffle is necessary. However, the views on the nature and form of this reshuffle are divergent.
