PM pays unexpected visit to Zaghouan

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed paid Thursday an unexpected visit to different delegations of the Zaghouan governorate.

The minister took note during this visit of the living conditions of the inhabitants of the Jougar neighbourhood (the El Fahs delegation), who explained their problems related mainly to the land situation of their district whose construction dates back to 1970.

They complained about the lack of basic health infrastructure, electricity and public transport in the neighbourhood which counts over 1,000 inhabitants.

Youths called Chahed to help them find jobs as, according to them, “the unemployment rate is quite high in their neighbourhood.”

The PM undertook to immediately regularise the land situation of the neighbourhood, provide ownership certificates to the inhabitants and find urgent solutions to social cases.

He was accompanied by Equipment Minister Mohamed Saleh Arfaoui, Secretary of State to State Properties and Land Affairs Mabrouk Korchid and MPs from the governorate of Zaghouane.
