PM receives annual report of Administrative Tribunal

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, on Friday, received from First President of the Administrative Court Abdessalem Mehdi Grissia the annual report of this jurisdiction.

Speaking after the meeting, Grissia said he had discussed with Chahed the Tribunal’s preparations for the upcoming municipal elections, particularly with regard to the process of setting up its regional chambers.

In this regard, the President of the Administrative Tribunal reported the establishment of 12 regional chambers of the Administrative Tribunal and the recruitment of 61 new judges (an increase of 70%), and administrative agents, (up 80%).

These new jurisdictions will soon begin their activities related to the municipal elections, particularly with respect to litigation and nominations, he said.
