Political party leader in custody over money laundering suspicion

A political party leader has been taken into custody over money laundering suspicions, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The department did not reveal the identity of the individual in question, noting that the public prosecutor’s office had been consulted on the matter.

«The individual is accused in several cases, including the so-called “Instalingo» case, the “Namaa” organisation case and that of sending young Tunisians to conflict zones,» the statement reads.
