Preliminary results of the referendum will be announced tonight at 8 pm, said Mohamed Tlili Mnasri, spokesperson of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE).

He said that the counting is progressing remarkably well inside and outside the country.

The ISIE is receiving reports on violations committed during the electoral process, he told TAP on Tuesday.

He, however, said that the ISIE has not recorded, so far, any serious violation that the law qualifies as an electoral crime causing a change in the results.

“The statement of the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saied, on Monday, the day of the election, constitutes an electoral offence but has no impact on the results of the referendum,” he said.

The spokesperson also said that the preliminary results of the referendum will be final on July 30, if no appeal is filed with the Administrative Court.

Otherwise, the final results will be announced on August 28, he said.
