Premier Youssef Chahed entrusted Transport Minister Anis Ghedira with the follow-up of Wednesday’s accident in Jebel Jeloud and conducting an immediate investigation to determine causes and liability in the collision, a Prime Ministry source told TAP.

Chahed also tasked Health Minister Samira Marai with providing the required logistical support for the rapid transfer of the injured to Tunis hospitals.

Five people were killed and 37 others injured when train n51/6 travelling between Tunis and Kalaa Khasba crashed at about 6:15 AM into a bus of Nabeul Regional Transport Company between the stations of Jebel Jeloud and Bir Kassaa.
