Preparations for start of school, university and training year focus of ministerial working session chaired by PM

Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani on Tuesday chaired a ministerial working session on preparations for the start of the school, university and training year 2023/2024, stressing the importance of meeting the challenges associated with this event. During the ministerial working session held at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, Hachani praised all the efforts being made. He stressed the need to create the right conditions to ensure the success of the coming school, university and training year, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. The meeting opened with presentations from the Ministries of Interior, Finance, Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research, Social Affairs, Employment, Vocational Training, Transport, Family, Women, Children, the Elderly, Religious Affairs, Health, Trade, Export Development, Industry, Energy, Mines and Tourism. They highlighted the readiness of the ministries involved in preparing for the start of the school, university and training year. According to the same source, the meeting also focused on the needs of the ministries in terms of human resources, infrastructure and equipment and the proposed solutions in this regard. The meeting also reviewed the various preparations for the return of the pre-school, school, university and training year to ensure a quality and comprehensive education for Tunisian students and trainees, while paying the necessary attention to low-income groups to guarantee their right to education. It also focused on preparations for accommodation, living, transport, health, securing educational, university and training facilities, as well as the provision of subsidised textbooks and exercise books, while ensuring their quality and prices that take into account the purchasing power of Tunisian citizens.
