Tunis: President Kais Saied paid an inspection visit on Saturday evening to the National Water Distribution Utility's (SONEDE) Ghedir El Golla station in the Hrairia district of Tunis Governorate. During the visit, the President of the Republic inquired about the reasons behind disruptions to drinking water supply in several areas. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the Ghedir El Golla station, located in Hrairia, is SONEDE's largest water facility. It plays a critical role in storing, treating, and distributing water supplied from the Kasseb Dam and the Medjerda-Cap Bon Canal. The station pumps between 500,000 and 700,000 cubic meters of water per day, providing drinking water to most neighborhoods across Greater Tunis.
