According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, discussions at Carthage Palace highlighted the historical ties between Tunisia and Libya. Both presidents expressed a commitment to enhance these relations across various fields for the benefit of both nations, aiming to bolster security, development, and stability. They emphasized the urgency of overcoming obstacles to meet their peoples' aspirations for cooperation and integration. President Saied reiterated the interconnected interests of Tunisia and Libya, asserting that the security and stability of the two countries are intertwined. He stressed the importance of addressing shared challenges collectively, as their national securit y is unified. The Tunisian President reaffirmed his country's support for the Libyan people's independence in making free choices, emphasizing that Libya's issues are domestic and should be resolved internally without external interference. The dialogue also covered the situation in occupied Palestine, condemning the actions of Zionist occupation forces. These forces are accused of committing genocide and deliberately destroying resources, causing widespread suffering. President Saied reiterated Tunisia's support for the Palestinian people's right to an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, emphasizing the inalienability of this right. President Saied concluded by stating that international legitimacy is deteriorating and will eventually be supplanted by a new humanitarian legitimacy, as global populations rise against the occupying Zionist entity's crimes.
